COVID -19 Information
St. Mary’s Caring Soup Kitchen's updated response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
We are continuing to monitor the situation through St. Mary’s County Health Dept., as well as CDC and Gov. Hogan’s press releases. As of Monday, March 16, we will transition to take-and-go meals, closing the soup kitchen down to all but essential volunteers until it is deemed safe to reopen our doors.
Meals will be handed out, 1 per person, between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday-Saturday. People will be required to leave the property immediately upon receiving their food, and will not be allowed to congregate on the grounds for personal safety reasons. We will alternate between hot meals and cold sandwiches.
St. Mary’s Caring Soup Kitchen is committed to feeding the must vulnerable in our community throughout this difficult. If you are in need of food, please call our Food Hotline at 301-863-5700, leaving your name and phone number. We will contact you within 24 hours.
